Preview: Bloomsbury Futsal Womens 1st Team set to take on Bolton Futsal Club Womens in FA National Futsal Series 2022/23

Having kickstarted their National Futsal Series 2022/23 campaign with a win, Bloomsbury Futsal Womens 1st Team will look to continue their good form when they take on Bolton Futsal Club Womens in their second match on Saturday, November 5 at the University of Nottingham, with action starting at 10 AM GMT.

Last time out, Bloomsbury Futsal Womens 1st Team stepped out on October 15 to face Southampton Aztecs Women in their opening game of the season in Preston. Hannah Kraakman bagged a brace, while Ashleigh Lewis-Shodeinde, Rosanna Frith-Salem and Estefania Salas scored a goal each to help Bloomsbury Futsal Womens 1st Team to start their season with a solid 5-2 win.

“First game of the season against Southampton was a great start. Always good to kick off the season with 3 points. It’s a squad with a good mixture of new signings and retained players, so a fantastic opportunity to get the new players going and gel the squad,” expressed Head Coach Liam Francis.

Their opponents, Bolton Futsal Club Womens have thus far played two matches in the season. They registered a 2-2 draw against London Helvecia Futsal Club Ladies in the opening match and a massive 8-2 win against Cheshire Futsal Club Ladies in their previous game.

Speaking ahead of the team’s second game, Francis stated that the team has a big test tomorrow. He said, “Bolton are a brilliant side, and have to credit all the work Mic is doing with his young side. They fight to the end and regardless of the situation they keep battling for everything, so we know we have a big test tomorrow.”

Sharing insights about the team’s preparations for tomorrow’s game, Francis said, “We’ve done plenty of work on the analysis and we’ve got a game plan ready so the confidence is high despite the calibre of our opponent.”

“The girls are working hard week in and out and we are seeing constant improvements. Have to credit the desire to work hard off the court and engage in the tactical sessions as well. The feeling is good amongst the squad and we are ready to go again on Saturday,” he concluded.
