Featured Fixture
Bloomsbury girls U12 12-0 MLS

What a game to finish the season! An epic high score to win the league. Well done to everyone in the team on the day and everyone involved with the Sunday League this season!

Ilva received players player of the match for excellent skills on the ball and finding the right moments to pass and assist many of the goals.

We’d like to celebrate some other amazing performances:

Jet’s rapid hat-trick set the tone with her 3rd goal up there for goal of the season (top bins), O’Miya closely following with great runs and 2 brilliant finishes, Muzique working hard in defence and midfield playing 1 2 passes all over the pitch, Abi finding the space impeccably to receive on the turn, Esther putting in crucial tackles in front of goal, Frankie excellently clearing the ball from danger, Kitty showing great leadership and getting a goal herself, Salima with a great attitude always tracking back and communicating well, Tara our left footed wizard on the wing bagging 4 excellent goals too, Remai tackling well and finding the passes into midfield and finally, last but not least our super keeper Lauryn who kept a clean sheet!

We are all very proud of the girls! Up The Blooms!

Bloomsbury boys U8 Charlton Tournament

What a fantastic experience for the players’ parents and coaches! Lots of smiles and enjoyment throughout the day.

In the group games we found it hard to make an impact in certain areas of the game. This was due to the tournament format being 7-a-side – something new for the players and a great experience as this is how they will play next season!

In the knockout games there was a change in our set up, which the players quickly understood and performed. It was brilliant to see the speed of their understanding in something that they haven’t experienced before. Our first knockout game ended in a draw, in an exciting and positive game. This finished in penalties where the players got the win which was brilliant to see as some of these players lost in the penalty shootout the day before. Being able to share this experience with everyone involved was the highlight.

Player of the match goes to Liam for his exceptional understanding, brilliant skills and decision making! He is always smiling and enjoying every moment out on the pitch!

Bloomsbury boys U8 Tournament

We started the tournament flying out in our first two games, playing quickly and creating success in the areas we were focusing on. The way the tournament schedule fell meant that we had our last three remaining group games back-to-back with little break in between. All players struggled through this period; however, all gave 100%!

Once we had a break and entered the knockout stage the players were able to create the same chances and opportunities as we had in the first two games. Going into the final of the Development Cup, the players gave their all, being positive on the ball, trying to find a way to score. The game ended up in a penalty shootout, where we were unfortunately defeated.

Throughout the tournament the players showed exceptional Bloomsbury values. Bloomsbury were represented to a high standard by this fantastic team. Player of the match goes to Rocco who showcased high Bloomsbury values putting this team first when he volunteered to go in goal. He had brilliant decision making on the pitch helping us reach the final and always playing with a smile on his face!

The quality of performance in our second group game where we won 3-0 and scored some brilliant goals was great to see. The enjoyment on the boy’s face when they won their 3rd place game 2-1 was the best moment.

Player of the match goes to Edgar who played in goal and defence really well and represented all the key Bloomsbury values. The boys kept possession well in the games and focused on recycling the ball in transitions well. We will be working on being more clinical in front of goal.

Winning our 3rd group game 3-0 was a big moment for us! The team dominated 3 of our group games in and out of possession. We dominated the ball and possession and we’re defensively solid in counter attacking situations. We need work on being more clinical when in attacking situations.

Player of the match is Riku who scored some brilliant goals and was a constant threat down the wing!
