It’s not an easy time to be a young person growing up in London. Lockdowns, economic downturns and an uncertain future are all affecting the health and happiness of younger generations.
The power of sport is no secret- regular physical activity is an important way to improve mental & physical health and create a strong sense of community. When faced with stress and anxiety, it can be a crucial outlet and support for young people.
But today in London there are barriers that prevent young people from getting on the pitch and experiencing the power of football – how it can get you out of your head and into your body, introduce you to new friends and teach transferrable life skills.
Pitch space is limited, meaning space to play is at a premium, and many simply can’t afford to join regular training sessions. Following multiple COVID-19 lockdowns, mental illness and obesity rates are at unprecedented highs. We need the power of sport now more than ever to support our city’s young people.
That’s where you come in.
By supporting Bloomsbury Football, you are directly supporting over 5,000 young people in London who currently get on the pitch with us every week. Our specialised sessions with qualified coaches are designed to improve mental & physical health, teach life skills and build stronger communities.
It is our mission to continue expanding our reach and range of sessions to ensure that no young person is priced out of play. In order to continue funding vital financial assistance for our sessions, we rely on the support of generous organisations and individuals.
With your help, we will continue using the power of football to change the game for young people in London.
