U14 GOLD TEAM // 9-1 // COACH DWIGHT
MATCH HIGHLIGHT The best performance of the season both individually and collectively. Was wonderful to see us combining so effectively in attack, with several chances resulting from liquid passing football and brilliantly timed runs off the ball, something we worked hard on in training this week.
AREAS TO IMPROVE I’m nitpicking here to find improvements as we were fantastic on the ball and superb with our pressing from the front and covering the space in defence. If we can continue to communicate throughout the game, and call loudly for the ball when in space, we’ll continue to dominate teams this season.
PLAYER OF THE MATCH We had five different goalscorers (Jet, Muzique, Milena, Kitty, Syrah) with Jet & Muzique bagging a hattrick each, however 4/5 players have a real case for POTM; Syrah scored one of the goals of the season with a slick solo run, Kitty was immense in midfield both in attack and defence, and Milena caused havoc for their defence on the wing from start to finish. Super proud of the Golden Girls!
BFA U10 v FUSION // COACHES ALFIE & ALEX
MATCH HIGHLIGHTMy favourite moment has to be Oli Davies great double save to keep us in the lead!
AREAS TO IMPROVE I feel as we can be better as a team to be more goal oriented as sometimes after we win the ball in good positions we look to always recycle. How can we mix both?
PLAYER OF THE MATCH My player of the match goes to Paulo Morales Sarria. From minute 1 he was direct, trying to take players on, looking to put into practice what was done in training and just lifting people’s spirits up.
U10 BLACK TEAM // COACH ALEX
MATCH HIGHLIGHT The opening goal came from a fantastic press by our front players, and was executed to perfection, exactly how we had practised in training!
AREAS TO IMPROVE Our communication off the ball improved as we grew into the game, we could improve by making sure we are talking to our teammates from kick off in our next fixture!
PLAYER OF THE MATCH Teddy – for his brilliant understanding of positioning, knowing when to press and when to sit off, and for his excellent attitude throughout the game, he did not let any player past without a battle.
U12 GOLD TEAM v WHETSTONE WANDERERS // 6-0 // COACH MILO
MATCH HIGHLIGHT Hard to say because whenever we actually played properly we scored yet still probably weren’t at our level for 80% of the match. The 3-goal flurry before half-time, especially with Christopher’s masterful wrapped finish.
AREAS TO IMPROVE Maintaining our level for longer & discipline 1v1 defensively. Taking fewer touches on the ball centrally & keeping it moving.
PLAYER OF THE MATCH Mr Krasniqi. Stepped up midfield masterfully, congratulations sir.
U7 GOLD TEAM v MORE THAN SPORTS // COACH LAMAR
MATCH HIGHLIGHT Outstanding work ethic throughout match and a positive attitude which paid off! We created many excellent opportunities through our attacking players.
AREAS TO IMPROVE Finish your dinner! (Scoring more often) using the right technique in front of goal
PLAYER OF THE MATCH Leo – he was involved in the best moments of the game as a wide player and then also was instrumental in our build up play when playing as a defender masterfully.
U7 BLACK TEAM v SPORTS EMPOWERED // COACH NATHAN
MATCH HIGHLIGHT Watching players make brilliant choices that led to even better goals! The boys have been really focused in training and they showed it today, well done!
AREAS TO IMPROVE We need to be focused even when we are winning, we went 4 goals up and some players seemed to switch off. If we let things like this happen we will concede, apart from that they were amazing.
PLAYER OF THE MATCH Sonny Western – Had a brilliant game in a position he doesn’t normally play, showed brilliant skill and determination on the pitch! 10/10 performance.
U15 GOLD TEAM v CITY LONDON PINK // 3-3 // COACH BIRAJ
MATCH HIGHLIGHT Strong start, pressed high and played expansive football, scored a goal off our first attack
AREAS TO IMPROVE Try to improve defensive solidity by avoiding conceding poor goals.
PLAYER OF THE MATCH Yacine Gharouz
U15 GOLD TEAM v AFC SOUTHGATE // 10 – 2 // COACH BIRAJ
MATCH HIGHLIGHT Louis Rowan’s goal – wins the poor on halfway line, drives forward and releases a devastating long range strike bouncing off the bottom of the crossbar, and the whole team celebrates with him.
AREAS TO IMPROVE Improve defensive solidity.
PLAYER OF THE MATCHLouis Rowan for his goal.
U14 DEV TEAM v WOODYS & EBOGS U14 PHANTOMS // 3 – 1 // COACH IGNACIO
MATCH HIGHLIGHT Heorhii Tarakhchian was on fire in front of goal. My favourite moment was his instinctive left hand save in the first half to stop the other team’s winger from scoring from close range.
AREAS TO IMPROVE It was our best game of the season however there is always room for growth. We can improve on being more clinical in front of goal, especially on counterattacks when we have more numbers than the opposition.
PLAYER OF THE MATCH The impenetrable Heorhii Tarakhchian for his countless saves and leadership which ultimately gave us the win versus 2nd place Woodys. We were 90 seconds away from getting our first clean sheet of the season!
U11 BLACK TEAM v APB WINGATE RACOONS // 2 – 2 // COACH JEROME
MATCH HIGHLIGHT Shajai Evans getting the equaliser and his first goal for the black team in the WFL with a great strike from outside the box!
AREAS TO IMPROVE Our decision making when it comes to the type of techniques we choose to use in certain areas. Often playing one touch when we should be controlling the ball, or using our outside foot or laces when it should be a simple side foot pass.
PLAYER OF THE MATCH Miguel Sanches – debut game and made some great saves in the first half and dealt well with the pressure of playing out from the back and being used regularly.
U11 GOLD TEAM v HGS TIGERS // 2 – 2 // COACH JEROME
MATCH HIGHLIGHT Seeing Leozinho Hogans debut for the Gold team and the positive support and reinforcement he was receiving from the parents on the sidelines. Great debut in my opinion.
AREAS TO IMPROVE Even though we didn’t have our starting goalkeeper, that is a game we shouldn’t have been conceding a goal, so maintaining our desire to keep a clean sheet just as much as our desire to score goals
PLAYER OF THE MATCH Marcelo Bosha – Magnani – a hat trick from RWB is impressive but also his work rate and constant threatening work on the wings was superb. Ayan Pula a close second, was incredible in and out of possession throughout!
U12 v SFC BLACK // 3-0 // COACH MILO
MATCH HIGHLIGHT Chris’ corner goal as a moment but I loved our composure when building from the back in the 1st-half. Calm & strategic in our approach, constantly assessing where the press was coming from & where the space was subsequently.
AREAS TO IMPROVE Taking our chances, again: in the final 3rd, be clinical lads, not too many touches, touch our your feet & bang. See pass, play pass. Also, being relentless going till final whistle.
PLAYER OF THE MATCH Joao – did a job wide, central, up the pitch, down the pitch. Fantastic double movements to go down the line 1v1 & made a goal-saving clearance.
U12 v FC MARYLEBONE // 2-5 // COACH MILO
MATCH HIGHLIGHT There was none. We were horrendous.
AREAS TO IMPROVE So much but I’ll pin it down to mentality: you go a goal down, you go again, play the football we play that has made us the team we are. Play together as a team, play composed but aggressive football. Lift each other up.
PLAYER OF THE MATCH Basti – persevered & worked hard for the team.
