U11 GIRLS v. PSA // Coaches Megan & Chelsea // 2-1
FAVOURITE MOMENT: Excellent combination play from the team, resulting in an amazing run from Ettie and the goal to take us into the lead.
PLAYER OF THE MATCH: The whole team, many of them played for the opposition as they didn’t have enough numbers, and still gave it their all. The team showed true blooms values
THIS WEEK’S LEARNING: With upcoming matches, can we remain calm and composed in front of goal, ensuring we’re aiming for corners.
U14 BOYS v. HENDON UNITED // Coach Ignacio // 4-5
FAVOURITE MOMENT: Adam El Sayed scored a fantastic rabona goal. He told me he didn’t feel comfortable kicking the ball with his left foot so he improvised.
PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Ozan Uyar for being the vocal leader of the team.
THIS WEEK’S LEARNING: We can improve on being defensively more solid. At certain times, we left a lot of gaps at the back and were exposed.
U12 BOYS v. ENFIELD TOWN YOUTH // Coach Milo // 5-2
FAVOURITE MOMENT: Top of the league, no dramas! Showed excellent character to recover from 2-1 down. 5th & final goal from Ed moments before his scheduled substitution was my highlight.
PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Jarvis. Bailed us out on numerous occasions, some of which were self-inflicted. Well done mate.
THIS WEEK’S LEARNING: Implementing what we work on in training: drawing them in before picking our moments to go forward, blocking passing lanes when pressing their defenders, separating to receive.
U12 BOYS v. MARLYEBONE // Coach Milo // 5-2
FAVOURITE MOMENT: Reaction at the start of the 2nd to wrestle back control and show more poise and control when building. We drew them in, and picked our moments for when to go forwards.
PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Kurt. Pressed like an animal and showed a lot of quality in the final 3rd, chipping in with some goals. Well played, sir.
THIS WEEK’S LEARNING: Same as before but building deliberately according to their press and looking to play over it when applicable. Tracking runners as wingers (I know this can be difficult!).
BFA GOLD v. MARLYEBONE RED // Coach Alfie & Kaihao
FAVOURITE MOMENT: Maleek making a triple save (not a goalkeeper) and the first save being a pen save.
PLAYER OF THE MATCH: El capitano Luca Sidhu by getting the boys energy up after conceding 2 goals and then scoring the last 2 goals to get us level in the game
THIS WEEK’S LEARNING: Recognising when to recycle when space forward isn’t there
