MATCH REPORTS – LAST MINUTE EQUALISER, 12 FEBRUARY- 19 FEBRUARY

21st Feb 2025

12 FEBRUARY- 19 FEBRUARY

GIRLS ACADEMY

BFA U11 GIRLS // COACH MEGAN // 5 – 5

FAVOURITE MOMENT: The girls pressed excellently, lead by Ayla and were able to regain possession high and create plenty of chances. This is something this team have been amazing at all season, and is proving too difficult for the opposition to play through us when we execute this well.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Aiva for making some excellent forward runs in behind, scoring and proving to be a challenge for the LFS defence

THIS WEEK’S LEARNING: At times, we need to maintain sensible distances between our units, ensuring we defend and attack as a team. Composure in front of goal will also enable us to convert more of our chances into goals.

BFA U12 GIRLS // COACH MEGAN // 7 – 0

FAVOURITE MOMENT: The girls were excellent, showing a dominant display with multiple players on the scoresheet! It was amazing to see the girls executing some of the core movements that we’d worked on in training this week, to combine and create lots of opportunities.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Ella for excellent communication throughout the game, as well as some goals and excellent combination play that we’d worked on in training!

THIS WEEK’S LEARNING: There wasn’t too much to fault during this game. The only focus now is on how we can keep this momentum going and ensure when we are creating chances, we are composed in front of goal and aiming for those corners.

BOYS ACADEMY

BFA BOYS // COACH BIRAJ AND JAMES // 5 – 5

FAVOURITE MOMENT: Last minute equaliser! The equaliser came through Yuval Wadke, played a trivela through ball into Yacine Gharouz, who rounds the keep, and rifles the ball into the back of the net to secure his hat trick, the entire team runs into the corner of the pitch to celebrate together!

PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Levi Falade. A rock at the back, composed on the ball, keeping possession moving at the back and dictating his back line. In a game of many back and forth between the players, he represented himself and his team proudly, by keeping his cool, and showing heart!

THIS WEEK’S LEARNING: Trying to handle momentum shifts in games by ensuring we are defensively solid and protect possesion. See out each half as often this season we’ve conceded just before half time or just at the end of a match.

BFA U10 BLACK+GOLD // COACH ALEX

FAVOURITE MOMENT: Shoutout to our keeper Noah this week for an incredible reflex save! He had a lot to deal with and produced several excellent saves, all whilst remaining a constant source of positivity for his team.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Alen, for a simply superb performance at the back! Always helping out his teammates, using the core moves we had learnt in training, and a great attitude!

THIS WEEK’S LEARNING: Moving forward we can work on our positioning, ensuring we find the space and always create an option for our teammates to pass to. A player that did this particularly well this week is Nabil!

BFA BOYS // COACH LAMAR

FAVOURITE MOMENT: Seeing the black team go from a game with only one goal difference to creating a large goal difference between us and the opposition! We experimented with players in new positions and they all seemed to enjoy!

PLAYER OF THE MATCH:Cairo played only his second game as a striker and scored more in one game than a prime Luis Suarez (this is coming from a Man United fan) he also played portions of the game in goal and his attitude was fantastic! Well done!

THIS WEEK’S LEARNING: My only feedback here is to start games faster especially against very good teams.

BFA U14 DEV // COACH IGNACIO // 2 – 1

FAVOURITE MOMENT: Watford Friendly League

PLAYER OF THE MATCH: The whole team. Windgate made us suffer but we persevered and earned the win. Every player played their part.

THIS WEEK’S LEARNING: Utilizing the space of the pitch better and switching the play of attack.

LET’S KEEP WORKING HARD!
