MATCH REPORTS: LAYING THE FOUNDATIONS, 21 – 27 NOVEMBER

28th Nov 2024

21 – 27 November

GIRLS ACADEMY

U12 BFA GIRLS v. U13 BFA GIRLS // Coaches Megan & Chelsea // 1-0

FAVOURITE MOMENT: A really great game of football, showing the incredible quality and standard that our girls teams at Bloomsbury have! Senulya scored the winner with a fantastic finish after a great team display of combination play.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Bakita showed a dominant performance, controlling the middle of the field and linking up nicely with her teammates as well as winning her individual battles.

THIS WEEK’S LEARNING: Over the next few weeks we will continue to work on how we can be patient when on and off the ball, to ensure we can either regain possession or maintain possession effectively.

BOYS ACADEMY

U9 BOYS v. ACTIVE FC // Coach Antonio

FAVOURITE MOMENT: When we score the first goal, great result of persistence from the team.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH: This week we have to award player of the match to Ethan- an outstanding debut!

THIS WEEK’S LEARNING: We need to work on our crossing and high passing moving forward.

U10 BOYS v. THE VALE // Coach Kaihao

FAVOURITE MOMENT: The highlight of our performance was in the first half, we managed to recycle the ball from right to left by using 2 centre back and quickly broke the line to find player on top to create a finishing chance. Unlucky the ball didn’t go in but the ball movement was excellent.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH: The player of the match goes to Max Gander. He showed solid defending skills in tackling and positioning in CB and keeper position, successfully dealt with a lot of 1v1 situations.

THIS WEEK’S LEARNING: We need to improve on our basic passing and receiving skills, as we made too many mistakes under pressure and gave free chances for the opposition team to win the ball in our half.

LET’S Go BLOOMS! 💪
