MATCH REPORTS – DOUBLE DIGIT WINS, 5 – 12 MARCH

14th Mar 2025

5 – 12 MARCH

bOYS ACADEMY

U8s // Coach Abdullah & Coach George // vs. AFC Camden Borough

FAVOURITE MOMENT: My favourite moment was second half, when we improved and scored a couple goals. Very good reaction to a tough first half.

WHAT CAN WE IMPROVE? I believe we need to work on decision making, during the game we decided to dribble when we need to pass and pass when we need to dribble. We’ll be working on this for the next two weeks.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH: All the boys showed resilience and effort. Noah demonstrated really good movement defending and always looking for the ball.

U9s // Coach Antonio // vs. Camden Town FC

FAVOURITE MOMENT: First match for Mark as a GK: what a player!

WHAT CAN WE IMPROVE? After being fast on playing from the back, short passages and overlap.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH: The whole team deserved a praise for resilience and will to come back!

U11 BLACK // Coach Jerome // 5-1 vs. Enfield Town Blues

FAVOURITE MOMENT: Patryk stepping up to take the free kick from about 30 yards out and putting it top corner, then celebrating with all of his teammates. Great to see

WHAT CAN WE IMPROVE? One of our best performances in quite a long time so I’m incredibly happy with the performance. If I was being hard on them we could be more clinical in front of goal but at the same time, scoring 5 was superb.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Shajai- barely put a foot wrong at CB all game. Won near enough every challenge he come up against and played out from the back really really well throughout. Patryk and Areeb a very close second.

U11 GOLD // Coach Jerome // 4-1 APB Wingate Rams

FAVOURITE MOMENT: Marcos unselfishness in setting up Laurence for his goal. He worked incredibly hard and loves a goal but chose to set up his teammate in a situation he could have easily have been selfish.

WHAT CAN WE IMPROVE? Noticing when the game is becoming erratic, relaxing in possession, slowing the game down, and focusing on making the right decisions to bring the game back to how we want to play it.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Marcelo – The young man was everywhere, put fear into the attackers and the defenders, all whilst playing at the back. They couldn’t get past him and they couldn’t stop him. All around fantastic performance.

U12 GOLD // Coach Milo

FAVOURITE MOMENT: Chris’ 1st goal, set up superbly by the conniving Deniro. Sat down their RB 😮‍💨 Masterful 1v1 play: sharply changing direction, aggressively enforcing separation.

WHAT CAN WE IMPROVE? Psychologically we needed to play to the occasion a bit more. Had suffered from key absences but felt we didn’t play our football with our usual authority/aggression; weren’t patient enough when building or tough enough in the challenge.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH:Deniro for the above. A goal and a special assist. Stepped up when the team needed him and took on more responsibility in the team talk, which I really liked. Well in lad.

U12 GOLD // Coach Milo // 11-0 vs. HGS

FAVOURITE MOMENT: Ilyas’ goal. You know when a player who doesn’t normally score scores and looks a bit unsure what to do but uncontainably happy. Released from the shackles of CB & thrived showing off some great footwork.

WHAT CAN WE IMPROVE? Maximising overloads by fixating and releasing. So many overloaded attacks which we didn’t make the most of, genuinely should have been 30-0 based off of the chances. Direct dribbling to fixate the defender, then eliminate him by playing the man of faking to pass then going.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Jibril. Right from the warmup my man looked focussed and ready for war. Aggression not previously seen and technical quality to match. Well done fella.

U15 GOLD // Coaches Biraj // 0-5 vs. London FITS

FAVOURITE MOMENT: We struggled in general, couldn’t strong together passing moves, usually favouring to go direct and any opportunities we had in the final 3rd didn’t have much conviction

WHAT CAN WE IMPROVE? Defensively we were poor. Struggled to defend the counter attack as well as be effective in 1v1 battles

PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Ignacio. Thought he did well despite a tough game.

U21s // Coaches Steven // 4-3 vs. Bessingby Park Rangers

FAVOURITE MOMENT: The equaliser we scored! Despite playing on a dreadful pitch, we still found passages where we were able to impose our style of play, resulting in a superb goal, scored by Luke – a rocket into the top corner after a brilliant dummy run by Nathan who followed that up with a goal of his own!

WHAT CAN WE IMPROVE? Being able to keep our intensity levels high! At 4-1 up we took our foot off the gas and started taking unnecessary risks at the back. A nervy finish but we got over the line in the end.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Luke. He’s been a man on a mission in the last few weeks, leading the title charge with his goals, work rate and sheer hunger to win!

UNREAL WORK FROM ALL THE BLOOMSBURY TEAMS. ONTO THE NEXT… 💪💪
