14th Nov 2024

7 – 14 November

GIRLS ACADEMY

U12 GIRLS v. CSR // Coaches Meg & Chelsea // 2-0

FAVOURITE MOMENT: The team showed an excellent display throughout the game, executing an excellent low block and incredible defensive performance. Bakita put us in front with an amazing free kick that flew right into the top left corner after an excellent counter attack from the girls!

PLAYER OF THE MATCH: The whole team, everyone gave everything and showed the true Blooms values! We could not be prouder of the girls!

THIS WEEK’S LEARNING: After an excellent positive team display against a strong opposition, we now need to continue being switched on and maintaining this level of performance, ensuring we stay patient both on and off the ball.

U13 GIRLS v. St. JOHN’S WOOD GIRLS // Coach Bethany // 5-0

FAVOURITE MOMENT: After a very positive week of training the girls continued on building their momentum and had a very confident consistent team performance with 5 different players scoring goals.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH:

Players player – Ilva for controlling the midfield and helping to set up numerous attacks.

Coaches player – Amber for a very solid and consistent defensive performance. Always getting to the player in time and winning then ball and then playing a brilliant forward ball to a teammate

THIS WEEK’S LEARNING: To be better in the next game we need to start games quicker in the first half by being more aware.

U13 GOLD GIRLS v. EAST FINCHLEY GIRLS // Coach Bethany // 6-0

FAVOURITE MOMENT: After a very productive week in training the girls utilised a passing pattern perfectly in the game to dissect the other team and get a shot on target.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH:

Players player – Lauryn for her hard work all over the pitch and her unselfish attitude in front of goal to set up her teammates

Coach’s player – Aiyana for a very dominant performance at striker with her securing a first half hat trick and assisting her teammates in front of goal

THIS WEEK’S LEARNING: Next week we need to continue with the momentum and start games as stint as we started this game

U13 GIRLS BLACK v. HGS U13 GIRLS // Coach Bethany // 0-7

FAVOURITE MOMENT: After a very good strong week in training with super commitment from all. The girls had a very difficult game but the girls held themselves super well and stayed disciplined and gave their all on the pitch and had some amazing counter attacks

PLAYER OF THE MATCH:

Players player – Daisy for her super defensive performance and amazing forward balls to wingers

Coaches player – Zoe for a very strong midfield performance where she played some amazing balls in to the channels

THIS WEEK’S LEARNING: Next week we can improve further by communicating better on the pitch with each other

U12 GIRLS v. ARSENAL COMMUNITY U13 GIRLS // Coaches Meg & Chelsea // 2-2

FAVOURITE MOMENT: The girls dominated the game from the very start, showing that when we start with high intensity, the girls can perform really well! A lot of good combination play, was executed to create two great goals, something we’d worked very hard on in training.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Noa played excellently, creating lots of attacking opportunities and combining really well with the midfielders with her great passing vision

THIS WEEK’S LEARNING: Remembering to attack as a team and defend as a team. As soon as we lose the ball, can we recover and get back quickly in transition, so we can defend as a team.

BOYS ACADEMY

U8 BOYS // Coaches Abdullah and George

FAVOURITE MOMENT: We’ve been working on driving with the ball forward. It was really love to see Adam and Haru implementing this in the match.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Adam was man of the match with his excellent goals and positive dribbles up the pitch. Honourable mentions to Haru and Dhillon, they both showed excellent commitment and effort.

THIS WEEK’S LEARNING: Before I asked a question to the boys at the end of the game, they gave me the answer. They said to me that we need to work on our defending. It really made me feel positive about the boys knowing where they need to improve as a team.

U10 BOYS BLACK v. ACTIVE FC // Coach Kaihao

FAVOURITE MOMENT: The highlight of the match was when Johan played at CM, he took on the defender and quickly spotted Teddy in front of him in open space. He made a precise play through to link Teddy and create a 1v1 chance against keeper for him.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Player of the match goes to Johan. He presented excellent skills in both dribbling and passing and helped create a few chances for the team.

THIS WEEK’S LEARNING: We can do better if we can improve our decision making on when to pass or dribble.

U10 BOYS GOLD v. LONDON SOCCER STARS // Coach Kaihao

FAVOURITE MOMENT: We improved a lot in second half with more ball movement using wide area to stretch the space and create receiving angle in the box area to make scoring chances.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Player of the match goes to Ezekiel. He made immediate impact on the game after he was sub on and carried the whole team performance to the next level.

THIS WEEK’S LEARNING: We need to work on player movement and ball recycling when playing out from back.

U14 BOYS DEVELOPMENT TEAM v. HENDON UNITED U14 GOLD // Coach Ignacio // 3-2

FAVOURITE MOMENT: Won the match with an incredible back heel goal by Noah D. with 10 minutes to go!

PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Kallias C. for having two assists and one marvellous free-kick goal!

THIS WEEK’S LEARNING: We can improve on recognising when to switch play from one side of the pitch to the other. Often we try to force play through small spaces when there’s plenty of space to move the ball elsewhere.

U9 BOYS v. St John’s Wood // Coach Archie

FAVOURITE MOMENT: How the team came back multiple times – they never gave up and continued to attack and show the Blooms values

PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Ahmed – Going forward creative and used the width brilliantly. Defensively though outstanding… non stop running back and helping out.

THIS WEEK’S LEARNING: Need to make sure we are starting games properly – we were asleep and conceded two goals at the start.

U12 GOLD BOYS v. CSF BLACK // Coach Milo // 2-1

FAVOURITE MOMENT: Pressing 2nd half. Perfected executed elements of pressure & cover, going man-to-man in midfield & aggressively pouncing on the second pass to force dangerous turnovers. Next step is to actually score from them, lads.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH: D, again. Pressed like a mad man (although could still look to block passing lanes ;)) & was a constant thorn in their side. What a fighter.

THIS WEEK’S LEARNING: Being resolute in our buildup. Manage the game, yes, but still look to be positive on the ball & back our skills & structure under pressure.

U12 BOYS GOLD v. CITY OF LONDON // Coach Milo // 6-1

FAVOURITE MOMENT: Naturally, the 2nd-half comeback. Stepped up when it mattered most & when, frankly, we were not playing well. The energy & fight on display was truly fantastic, & for that I take my hat off to the boys.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Joao. Mr Chelsea popped up with 4/5 goals, I can’t remember, & led the team commendably in Alex’s absence. A role model on the pitch for the lads. Well done, VC.

THIS WEEK’S LEARNING: Football is decided in both boxes & we have to improve in this regard: being clinical & finishing off our chances & defending our goal with our lives, ensuring all men are accounted for during set-pieces.

U15 BOYS v. FITS BLUE // Coach Biraj // 4-5

FAVOURITE MOMENT: George F’s equalising goal and the team celebrating after being 4-1 Down

PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Luca D. – runs the midfield battle every week with his excellent ball play and tireless work rate

THIS WEEK’S LEARNING: Getting off to a strong start

LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT FIXTURES! 💪
