BFA U18 GIRLS // COACH SHANICE // 1 – 7
FAVOURITE MOMENT: The match began with Highbury Wolves Elite immediately asserting themselves, utilising the skills of their two forwards. They dominated the first half, showcasing a more focused, disciplined, and energetic performance.
PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Despite Bloomsbury’s best efforts, they were unable to close the gap. The game ended with Highbury Wolves Elite securing a well-deserved victory, their strong first-half performance proving to be the difference. While Bloomsbury showed resilience in the second half, the early damage was too significant to overcome.
THIS WEEK’S LEARNING: However, the second half saw a determined response from Bloomsbury. Unfortunately, the damage had already been done, and Highbury Wolves Elite continued to grow in confidence, extending their lead with a series of well-executed attacks.
BFA U8 Gold // COACH ABDULLAH & GEORGE // 4 – 7
FAVOURITE MOMENT: My favourite moment was second half, when we improved and scored a couple goals. Very good reaction to a tough first half.
PLAYER OF THE MATCH: All the boys showed resilience and effort. Noah demonstrated really good movement defending and always looking for the ball.
THIS WEEK’S LEARNING: I believe we need to work on decision making, during the game we decided to dribble when we need to pass and pass when we need to dribble. We’ll be working on this for the next two weeks.
BFA U15 GOLD // COACH BIRAJ // 1 – 1
FAVOURITE MOMENT: All round performance
PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Jake
THIS WEEK’S LEARNING: Finishing our chances
BFA U8 DEV // COACH ADRIA // 4 – 3
FAVOURITE MOMENT: Favourite moment after the team won, was when the team dedicated this win to both Ignacio and Zayd who have not been able to come to matches or training.
PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Player of the match was Nasir, he came with loads of energy and despite his fatigue, he still gave a lot for the team being very brave on winning the ball back and pushing the team above & beyond! Well done Nasir and the whole team.
THIS WEEK’S LEARNING: Things to improve for the following weeks are to stay compact in defence and ensure that players in attack come down to defend after we lose the ball, that will avoid opposition getting clear opportunities and delay them.
BFA U11 GOLD // COACH JEROME // 6 – 3
FAVOURITE MOMENT: During the second half the scoreline got to 3-2 to us and the boys had to sustain some pressure, they persevered and scored 3 goals within a 5-10 minute period to kill the game off and celebrated as a group with smiles on heir faces, great team performance!
PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Marco – Was worried recently as he hasn’t been scoring as much as he was at the start of the season. We had a conversation last week and due to hard work and persistence he came out of this game with a hat trick. Also created chances for others and got an assist as well.
THIS WEEK’S LEARNING: Not to become too predictable with our play, we decided to go more direct in the second half and although it worked on a few occasions it didn’t work on more, so noticing that and mixing up our play when we see it stopped working as of the as we would have liked.
BFA U11 BLACK // COACH JEROME // 4 – 2
FAVOURITE MOMENT: Nathan completing his hat trick and all the boys celebrating together! Was the goal that made it 3-2 to us and was a great skill to put the defender on the floor and great finish off the post and in.
PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Nathan – Was a great performance from start to finish, worked hard out of possession and was very composed and confident in possession throughout. Topped it off with a hat trick of goals!
THIS WEEK’S LEARNING: Continually noticing the opportunities to use the core moves, from this game specifically through balls and overlap/underlap runs.
BFA U11 // COACH SAMUEL // 4 – 1
FAVOURITE MOMENT: The combination play leading up to Areebs’ 2nd goal was really good to see.
PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Louay – he defended excellently throughout the match
THIS WEEK’S LEARNING: We can improve our composure on the ball, we rush at times and need to work on being calm and not panicking
