After a remarkable start to their 2022/23 FA National Futsal Series campaign, Bloomsbury Futsal Mens Team will take on Loughborough Students Futsal Club First in their second match on Sunday, October 30 at the Princess Royal Sports Complex in Somerset with the action kicking off at 10 AM GMT.
Eduardo Amorim, Connor Millar, Ollie Jones and Richard Ward were the goalscorers in what was a thrilling 4-2 win over Manchester Futsal Club First in Bloomsbury’s opening match of the season.
Loughborough Students Futsal Club First, on the other hand, are coming off a massive 11-3 win over Wessex Futsal Club 1st and are currently leading the points table.
Reflecting on the performance of the last game, the First Team manager Tapia-Owens stated, “We played really well in our last game against Manchester. We showed the side of us that we haven’t shown probably a lot in the last few years, which is a little bit more ruthlessness and great relentlessness, and to be able to pick up a result as well.”
Owens also spoke about the team’s preparedness for the weekend’s clash. He said, “Our training this week went really well, with some different things attached that we think we can exploit this weekend.”
“It will be a tough game. Loughborough are very intense, we know how they like to play and they are good at it. We’ll see if we can, sort of exploit things that we think might be options for us to exploit,” he signed off.
