LALIGA arrived in the UK in 2020 with the aim of supporting the growth of grassroots football. Bloomsbury Football have been lucky to partner LALIGA since 2022 and are proud champions of our work to make football accessible and fun for young Londoners.

With two separate league venues, representing 16 LALIGA teams, we’re so excited by how the programme has grown and the unique experience it offers our players!

What are the Bloomsbury x LALIGA sessions?

Bloomsbury Football’s LALIGA partnership is a semi-competitive weekly league.

All players play matches on Saturday mornings for their LALIGA club against other teams. The matches are only against other Bloomsbury Football players, but offer a more competitive training environment than our normal Weekly Sessions.

At the end of a season, the team at the top of the league are crowned Champions!
How does the LALIGA competition work?
How do I join the Bloomsbury Football x LALIGA competition?
How much does Bloomsbury Football x LALIGA cost?

Payment for the Bloomsbury Football x LALIGA competition is made on a monthly basis, and covers all match fees. The cost of a monthly subscription starts at £65 per player.

Financial support, meaning 50-100% off price, is available for low-income households. Any financial support will be automatically applied at checkout to your purchases.

What LALIGA team do I join?

Every player that joins the Bloomsbury Football x LALIGA competition joins one of the teams that competes in the league. These teams wear the official kit of LALIGA clubs, Spain’s first and second professional divisions.

Players represent their team for the rest of the season, and get to keep their official kit!

The real clubs currently represented in the Bloomsbury Football x LALIGA competition in Tufnell Park are: Sevilla FC, RCD Espanyol, CA Osasuna, CD Leganés, Real Racing Club Santander, CD Tenerife, Granada CF, SD Eibar.

The real clubs currently represented in the Bloomsbury Football x LALIGA competition in Swiss Cottage are: Valencia FC, Racing Club de Ferrol, Celta Vigo, Athletic Club, Atletico Madrid, Las Palmas, Deportivo de La Coruña and Deportivo Aláves.
What does my child need to bring to LALIGA sessions?

Please ensure that your child brings the following items to each session:

Water bottle, suitable sports clothing (e.g. gloves or hat), a raincoat, and a packed lunch (if not eligible for Free School Meals).

Are LALIGA sessions cancelled when there’s bad weather?

Bloomsbury Football sessions run throughout the year and in all types of weather.

We have a designated Safeguarding policy related to Extreme Weather and unless specified, our sessions will continue to run.

We will always contact you to let you know if a planned session is not going ahead.
