GIRLS TRAINING SESSIONS

Bloomsbury’s Girls’ Training Sessions keep football fresh and fun for all players. Expect lots of on the ball drills to improve football skills, communication and teamwork, plenty of encouragement from our expert coaches, and regular match-like play to ensure consistent progress on the pitch!

GIRLS FOOTBALL ACADEMY

The Bloomsbury Football Academy strives for excellence in all areas, not just technical skills. Our players are always improving their tactical and technical game, while our expert coaches team them essential skills that lead to a happier and healthier life.

Our players have gone onto professional academies, including Arsenal and Crystal Palace. Expect multiple training sessions a week and league matches every weekend.

HOLIDAY CAMPS

Our Girls Holiday Camps are full days of fun, kicking off at 10am with the final whistle blowing at 3pm. No two days at Camps are the same. Our coaches are always thinking of new drills, activities and match formats to challenge players, while keeping the emphasis on building skills, communication and teamwork.

That includes making sure quality football is affordable for all. It’s why we offer financial support for all our programmes.

Financial support means 25-100% discounts on price for players from low-income households.

  • How do I join a Girls' Football Training Session?

    Bloomsbury’s Girls’ Training Sessions are organised football for all ages and ability levels. The easiest way to get on pitch and develop your skills.

  • How do I join a Girls' Academy Team?

    All players looking to join the Bloomsbury Football Academy must complete a trial. Trial days run regularly throughout the season, for all age groups.

    Registering for a trial in advance is essential. Find our next upcoming trial day here.

  • Do you offer taster sessions for new players?

    Yes. If you are a new player with Bloomsbury Football, you can book a free taster session. Simply head to the webpage of the session you want to attend, and click ‘Book a Taster’.

  • Who coaches the Girls' Football Sessions?

    Every Bloomsbury Football Foundation Session is led by a qualified professional. As a minimum, all coaches hold an FA Level One qualification and are DBS checked. Any coach working with children aged eight and under holds a paediatric first aid qualification.

  • Where do you run Girls Football Sessions?

    Bloomsbury Football Foundation coaches over 7,000 young people every single week, of which over 2,000 are girls.

    We work in nine London boroughs, and run girls football sessions for all ages across Islington, Camden, Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea, Brent and many more.

  • How much do Girls Football Sessions cost?

    Everyone pays for Bloomsbury Football sessions on a monthly subscription, paid on the first of the month. The cost of a monthly Training Session subscription is £65 per player per month. The cost of a month Academy Football subscription is £175 per player per month.

    We know that activities can be expensive for parents and guardians. As a charity, Bloomsbury Football Foundation offers financial support, meaning 25-100% discounts on price for players from low-income households. Apply for financial support here.
