Training Sessions FAQs

  • How do I join a Training Session?

Every player must book their place at a Bloomsbury Training Session in advance. This can be done via our website.

We run Training Sessions at multiple venues across London, on every day of the week. You’re sure to find the one that works best for you!

  • Do you offer taster sessions for new players?

Yes. If you are a new player with Bloomsbury Football, you can book a free taster session. Simply head to the webpage of the session you want to attend, and click ‘Book a Taster’.

  • Who coaches the Training Sessions?

Every Bloomsbury Training Session is led by a qualified professional. As a minimum, all coaches hold an FA Level One qualification and are DBS checked.

Any coach working with children aged eight and under also has a paediatric first aid qualification.

  • What can I expect at a Training Session?

Our Training Sessions all focus on making football fun for the players, while improving both their technical ability alongside transferable life skills like communication and teamwork.

Training sessions vary in length, but are most commonly one hour long. The location and timings depend on which session you choose. You can check these details before you book on the website.

  • How much do Training Sessions cost?

You pay for Training Sessions on a monthly subscription, paid on the first on the month. This allows for weekly attendance at the session you have chosen, per player.

The cost of a Training Session is £65 per player per month.

As a charity, Bloomsbury Football Foundation offers financial support, meaning 25-100% discounts on price for players from low-income households. Apply for financial support here.

  • What does my child need to bring to a Training Session?

Please ensure that your child brings the following items to each session:

Water bottle, suitable sports clothing (including footwear) and a raincoat, in case of rain.

Some of our venues require specific footwear, so that the pitch is not damaged. For information about what football boots or trainers are required for your session, visit the booking page for your session.
