We are extremely grateful for the support we have received from Trusts & Foundations that allows us to continue our vital work in supporting young people.
But more than just offering financial support, the Trusts & Foundations we work with have allowed us to better understand the local communities we operate in, connecting us with other organisations that are similarly embedded in the local community, as well as allowing us to develop innovate and novel approaches to engaging otherwise underserved groups.
THIS DAY FOUNDATION
Through a grant awarded by This Day, Bloomsbury Football have been able to create a robust 5 year strategy that details how we will be able to scale across London and support 20,000 young people per week by 2028.
This Day shares Bloomsbury Football’s vision of building a fairer future for future generations regardless of their background.
GARFIELD WESTON FOUNDATION
Support from The Garfield Weston Foundation has been instrumental in the development of Bloomsbury Football’s Girls programme.
The grant allowed Bloomsbury to invest in our capacity to run sessions for girls as well as helping to subsidise the cost of provision for families from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
PETER SOWERBY FOUNDATION
Due to support from The Peter Sowerby Foundation and in partnership with The University of Westminster, Bloomsbury Football have been able to host weekly football training sessions for Key Stage 3 Muslim Girls.
The group were chosen because, unfortunately, this demographic has historically been an underserved group. These sessions are run in an enclosed space by an elite female, Muslim coach with adequate prayer facilities.
We are fortunate to receive funding and support from a wide range of supporters. Please see a selection of our other supporters below
Thanks to support from our partners who donated unrestricted funds to the charity, we have been able to embark on an ambitious digital development programme. Due to the lack of affordable football provision in London, there are unfortunately, too many children who currently wish to join our programmes than we can accommodate.
As such, the main constraints on Bloomsbury’s growth are funding to employ new coaches who can work closely with young people and having the digital infrastructure in place to manage their deployment.
